Capuchin Soup Kitchen’s Coats For Kids Drive
Dear Friends, ;It’s getting to be that time of year when we open our hearts just a little wider & dig in our wallets just a little deeper ~~ hoping to put a smile on a child’s face during the holiday season. I realize that most of you have already chosen your favorite charity(ies) to support, but in the event you’re blessed enough to have a little extra holiday cheer to spare for the less fortunate, would you please consider helping the Capuchins? They are in desperate need of warm winter clothing for needy children. The need is greater this year than ever & they really need our help. The TACOM Federally Employed Women (FEW) is sponsoring their annual Christmas luncheon to benefit the Capuchins on Tuesday, December 6th Buffet style luncheon for (pay at the door) will be held at the Father Kramer Knights of Columbus Hall, 7400 Bernice Street (off Van Dyke between 10-11 Mile), Attendees are asked to bring a new winter coat with hat and gloves (scarves are optional) for a boy or girl ranging in age from 1 to 14 years old. This specific age group was identified by the Capuchins to help as many children as possible; however, ALL sizes are welcome since they also support entire families who need warm outerwear throughout the year.
If you can’t attend the luncheon, please consider donating an article of clothing or offering a monetary donation. You can contact me or one of the following FEW Representatives for pickup:
Deborah Thurman (586) 282-2141

Thank you,
There’s always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
