Radish Creative Group produces its first full-length feature, Annabelle & Bear, this summer in Metro Detroit. The Royal Oak, MI-based production company, known for creating award-winning commercial spots, makes this exciting transition to feature films in the midst of the state’s thriving movie-making community. The movie will be shot exclusively in the state of Michigan. In addition, Annabelle & Bear has the unique distinction of employing and enlisting a 100% Michigan cast and crew.
There is so much talent here in Michigan,” Ms. Weber says, “that it just makes sense to keep all of the production here — including post. We will not be taking this film out of town to finish it. From the very start of the production including casting to the final touches in editorial and audio post, I am very proud of the fact that this film will be made completely in Michigan. What a testament to what Michigan has to offer.”The Radish team anticipates shooting for Annabelle & Bear to wrap by end of summer 2009. At that point Ms. Weber and her production team plan to submit a rough cut of the film to the Goliath of the independent film industry: the Sundance Film Festival. She and her Radish partners are honored by how the film has generated so much buzz, not only about the movie, but also about how it has inspired so many people to want to be a part of its success.
