OPERATION CHRISTMAS 2009
Dear Friends,
Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 154, Mt. Clemens, Michigan, will be kicking off OPERATION CHRISTMAS with our annual Christmas Dinner Dance on December 12, 2009, at VFW Post #2358 in Roseville.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS was started in 1985 to help needy families and children in our community enjoy the Christmas Holidays.
Since its inception, OPERATION CHRISTMAS has provided food for over 3,825 families and toys for over 7,640 children. The food includes boxes of staples, canned goods and a turkey or ham and fixings for the holiday meal. Toys go to toddlers through teens.
In order to achieve our goal, we are asking for donations from local businesses and citizens. Donations can include toys, food and items for auction at our Christmas Dance and, of course, cash donations are always needed and very much appreciated.
We know that in this economy it may be difficult to help; but if you can please send your donation or contact us at the Veteran Support Center at the address or phone number above, we can pick up your donation.
