Make a Difference this Christmas
Feeling miserable at Christmastime? Missing someone or maybe you just want to help another person out in their time of need? Donate to aid needy families, seniors, and the homeless, in keeping with the spirit of the season. Adopt a homeless animal, donate blood at the Red Cross, knit caps for chemotherapy patients, distribute gifts to shut-ins in hospitals, VA hospitals and nursing homes. I promise you it will make your Christmas so much more special ♥
REMEMBER…In Whoville they say that “The Grinch’s small heart grew three sizes that day.”
Here is a list of charities to consider:
http://www.toysfortots.org/ Bring cheer to children in need this holiday season.
www.vva154.com Drop off food for our deployed troops: including soup, chili and beverage mixes. Hug and thank a vet while you’re there 🙂
http://volunteerguide.org/volunteer/fewhours/chemotherapy-hats.htm Knit hats for chemotherapy patients. (The link provided will help with sizes…never use wool) Donate your chemotherapy hats to the patients that need them. Look in your phone book to find hospitals or cancer organizations in your area and give them a call to see if they are accepting cancer hat donations.
Help the pets!
