Plans are well underway for the 2011 WALLEYES FOR WARRIORS Veterans fishing event. Please review the list below to be updated on important information.

; -MEET AND GREET event will be held Saturday, June 18 at Veterans Park 3:00 p.m.

registration will begin for Veterans and Boat Captains. Veterans and Boat Captains will then have a chance to meet each other at the Captains Meeting to be held after registration

; -FISHING EVENT will begin at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, June 19. At that time Veterans and Boat Captains will begin launching from the dock. At 8:00 a.m. Colors ceremony will take place. Soaring Eagle and Sanganing Eagles Landing Casinos will furnish a sack lunch and water for the Veterans and Boat Captains.

-VETERANS will need to bring the following items: -Tennis shoes -Sunglasses -Sunscreen if desired -Cap or hat-Light rain coat-FISHING LICENSE -SMOKERS are asked to discuss smoking on the boat for safty reasons with their Captain at Saturday™s Meet and Greet event.

EVENT held on Sunday after returning from fishing will include a pig roast FOR VETERANS AND BOAT CAPTAINS provided by the Soaring Eagle and Sanganing Eagles Landing Casinos.

; -OTHER FEATURES at the Main Event will include: Motorcycle groups with flags to honor Veterans, an antique military vehicle display, a special warrior drum , ceremony by the Ogitchedaw Warriors Society, and an awards ceremony emceed

by Mike Avery of Outdoor Magazine.

-MOTEL ROOMS are still available at the reduced rate through May 19 if you mention
